LC-MS applications are growing rapidly. A board for LC-MS would be welcome as well. Maybe a subsection under LC?

Dear All,
A board on LC-MS will be definitely useful.
Kindly make a separate section for LCMS.

Dear Tom,
It is consistently observed that a few discussions continue years together, though not with the query started with .
Classical examples are
1.HPLC conditions for basic compound?
originated on Thursday, December 19, 2002 - 09:37 am:
2.Method development
originated on Friday, December 20, 2002 - 10:23 pm:
They are being continued till today.Getting in to that for a specific problem makes one to read(or atleast a bird’s eye view)the entire text from the origin.so certain topics of continuous interest and discussion can be segregated,to avoid ‘anaconda’s tail’.
LC-MS is one such topic.
Looking forward to your view on this.

To all: *please* look at the two "test" fora:
http://www.sepsci.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi
http://www.sepsci.com/phpBB2/index.php
Now is your chance to provide input and suggestions.

To Michael:
"Hijacked" threads are a general problem to which there are no single/simple solutions.
All three of the "back end" programs that we are looking at allow threads to be "locked" after a certain amount of inactivity. That should help avoid the problem of additions to old threads.
To minimize the problem with currently active threads, increasing the number of boards should help (e.g., if you look at the test fora referenced above, you'll see that we've got separate boards for LC-MS and GC-MS). The rest will depend on more agressive moderation; we'll simply have to move messages into new topics if they represent a change of direction.
