i am having trouble derivatising sugar phosphates for GC analysis. the solvent used is pyridine and the reagents HMDS:TMCS. the phosphates will not be derivatised even at elevated temperature. will refluxing solve the problem or is there another way. if sugars are to be analysed the same way what will be the effect of refluxing to the sugars eg. glucose?will decomposition of TMS derivatives occur?
