I have been trying to detect maleic anhydrid for polymer analysis using a PE Dynamic Headspace and a poly(ethyleneglycol) column from Supelco. However, I couldnīt find any peak. I tried using maleic anhydrid in DMF, resp. in Acetone with a purging temperature of 170°C and a GC-programm up to 225°C...
Is there any possible reaction of the substance with the column? I also increased the purging temperature but with no effect.
