I am measuring the environmental hydrocarbons. when I used the scotty gas of C2-C6 from Fluka, I found that the hydrocarbons were adsorbed on the adaptor. I could not get a repeatable result. How can I solve this problem? Urgent!

How do you know that the HC were absorbed on the adaptor? Unrepeatable result could be due to leak, poor carrier gas flow, poor oven control etc.

Change your adaptors, make sure your pressure regulator has a Stainless Steal Diaphram! A lot of the cheaper regulators will have plastic diaphrams, do not go cheap. Also make sure your introduction to the GC is by a direct connection (no syringes, do not introduce human error). Also check for leaks in the system to ensure that you are not loosing your samples.
