Dual chanel analysis (2 different detectors)

I'd like to ask a question about how to independently handle data obtained simultaneously from two different detectors. I work with pesticides, use Agilent 6890 GC, and I splitted the column into ECD and NPD. Please advise me what settings in Chemstation to best make for this kind of analysis.

What do you mean by "independently"? To register and calculate only one signal? Please give more detailed question.

I mean to store two signals under two different filenames. But I don't know how to do it. I set Chemstation to save all data from both detectors, it does but under one filename. I find it inconvenient to work with two signals each in different scale (ECD Hz, NPD pA. Maybe I could store two files and then analyse each set of data independently using partial sequence or batch function? I would appreciate any advice on how to deal with this kind of problems.

HP changed the file structure in the newer versions of ChemStation. In older versions, there was a separate file stored for each cnannel of data acquired. In the newer versions, everything is stored in a single directory for each data name. I no longer use ChemStation, but if my memory is correct there is still a separate file for each channel, and you can chose to load either or both signal. I'm not sure that is correct for the latest versions, but that is the way I remember it from a couple of years ago. You can generate a separate report for each channel so the detector reports don't have to come out together. Hope this helps.

I use Chemstation A06.01 [403]. It stores data in directory xxxxxx.d, which contains several files and 2 separate data files for each channel.
I recommend to try following. You should create another 2 "derivative" methods in addition to original one, each containing identification data for one channel. When you load data, use "Full" button to have access to signal data. Then you select which signal to load and integrate.
I did not try, but it might be possible to solve problem using bach processing with one of the "derivative" methods.

I must admit, I made a confusing mistake. I wrote about 2 signals stored under 1 file name, while was thinking about one directory including 2 signals coming out together in Data Analysis part of Chemstation.
Anyway, according to the advice, I prepared 2 methods: one for all data aquisition and data analysis of signal 1, the other for data analysis of signal 2, and 2 sequences alike. Everything works quite fine, but each report still contains 2 chromatograms, although identification and quantification is separated. This actually means nothing, except does not look nice on the print-out and wastes some paper.
How to overcome this little disadvantage?
Is it possible to separate these chromatograms and print each one in the appropriate scale?

Maybe I'm missing something, but if you want to print out each chromatogram independendently with its own scale this can be done. Load signal, select filename xyz.d, then highlight the signal choice at the bottom then OK. Then do similar for the second signal. However, if you want to autmate that.........that's over my head.
