Can anybody provide me with a analytical method for the analysis of Triethyl Citrate. I've tried searching the web and application notes and to date have found nothing.
Thanks in advance

Not an easy compound to analyze for purity by GC alone. I would use a TMS derivative using a Very thick film 5% Phenyl capillary OR dissolve in hexane/CH2Cl2 or ether and inject directly onto the same column or onto a thin film C-Wax 20 capillary. Any free acid groups present will not elute well if at all unless derivatized. Start at 60°C and ramp upto 200°C. You may see some dimers and even trimers of this analyte present at levels upto 0.5% or more on the first column. Good luck.
