Dear all,
I posses a supercritical fluid extractor from agilent (HP 7680A). Does anyone know if is it possible to use or transforme this system to make ASE extraction?
Thanks for your help

The seals and pumps are designed to handle CO2, not liquid solvents, the extraction cells are also small compared to the ASE cells. The SFE extractors are also designed to operate on a continuous flow basis, while ASE generally operates as a stop flow system. SFE generally, although not always, used lower temperatures than ASE.
Is it possible to use the SFE for ASE? Probably.
Will it take a lot of time and effort? Definately.
If the SFE is still funtional and being used, I wouldn't try the conversion. If it isn't being used you can try, but the results probably will not be that good.
