We have an HP6890 and are using the FID detector at present. We know that the FID output signal is in pico amps, and we thought full range was 1 volt. The data is going to our data handling system via the RS-232 interface. We are using ChromPerfect software to handle the data. We do NOT have an expansion board. A 3 volt peak was recorded by the software. How do we know what the absolute value of the signal/peak area is and where is the conversion made from amps to volts? Who do we ask?
