I have developed an ActiveX library that makes it easy to load ChromPrefect Spirit, EZChrom Elite or any AIA/ANDI (CDF) formatted files into Visual Basic or any other environment which supports ActiveX. The data is easily available via property and method calls and the library can be
attached to any VB project or VB code behind Excel or Access... The trial version (limited in data size) is available for downloading and
evaluation. The TraceObject offers access to the following:

Trace - (container object)
Filename
Operator
Date_Time
SampleName
SampleRate
SampleWeight
ISTDWeight
DilutionFactor
SolventWeight
SampleDensity (If Calculated)
SampleUnits (If Exists, uV, mV, etc)
MetFile (Name of GC Method File..If Exists)
SeqFile (Name of GC Sequence File..If Exists)
RawMin (Lowest Signal Recorded)
RawMax (Highest Signal Recorded)
RawArea (Area of Raw Data)
PointCount (Number of Data Points)
PeakCount (Number of Peaks..if Calculated)
Points (Array of Data points)
TimeValues (Array of Time Values based on samplerate)
Peaks (Collection of Recorded Peak Information)
PeakItem (Individual Peak Information)
LoadFromFile (Opens the specified File)
PointsAsXLColumnArray (Returns an XL compatible single column range array of points)
TimeAsXLColumnArray (Returns an XL compatible single column range array of Time Values)
PeaksAsXLMatrix (Returns an XL compatible 7 column range array of peak information)

If you are using VB, developing your own applications and would like an easy way to use data in these files, download the trial version. It is available at
