I know nothing about this analysis, but remembered your question. We have done several of these materials in air samples, however.

EPA Method 551 is used for chloral hydrate. It elutes nicely on a narrow bore DB-5, using an ECD.
A 35 mL sample aliquot is extracted with 2 mL of methyl-tert-butyl ether(MTBE). 2 µL of the extract is then injected into the GC. Aqueous calibration standards are also extracted and analyzed in order to compensate for any extraction losses. A typical sample can be extracted and analyzed in 40-50 minutes.
