Hello all,
This is not a question, but rather a remark.
The determination of residual water in various samples is often difficult. We have found that excellent results are possible using the AED (hydrogen response). Yes, the response for hydrogen is non-linear, but a non-linear calibration is not a problem. The beauty about this technique is that water is positively identified if hydrogen, carbon and sulphur are monitored. The AED is very sensitive for water in the hydrogen channel.
