Dear gas chromatographers,

there are many brands of GC columns, since I am a new comer to this domain, could you give me some quick reference guide for the comparasion of these GC columns of HP or other companies frequently used in order that i could easily find the alternatives, any help is greatly appreciated.

You are lucky as you look for a good GC capillary where there are only a few players.....for LC you can choose between 10 times more!
Cross reference guides using catalogue numbers are always biassed and do have limited information.
If you need any help choosing a capillary, sent an email to one of the Varian-helpdesks.
(helpdesk.US@varianinc.com or helpdesk.eu@varianinc.com). They will share the the application & limitation information and help you out.
