Anyone did analysis of triglyceride with GC?

Transesterification to determine fatty acid content is often done. An organic base reaction is usually used. See Aldrich Chemical technical help. Some triglycerides can be injected directly onto a high temperature capillary for analysis.
If you wish to quanitate mono and di glycerides TLC and HPLC are also available.
Literature references should be copious.
