Can anyone instruct me about how to connect a HP6890N GC with a PE HS 40XL Autosampler? I've tried a couple of different ways to wire this but run into problems each time. Mostly, either the headspace sampler never sees a "ready" signal from the GC ("Waiting for ext. ready" message) or The headspace sample will get a ready signal and make an injection but fail to start the GC. Calls to Agilent and PE have so far been fruitless. Does anyone have a working system configured like this? Please let me know.
