Please could you offer some tips on resolving tailing peaks for GC. I am looking to separate Atrazine by GC-FID. The sample (0.1%) is dissolved in chloroform on a ZB- Wax column.

The tailing on your atrazine peak could be caused by a focusing issue or due to activity problems. If you would like help, please feel free to contact me directly. It would be easiest if you could fax some example chromatograms and your GC method to me for review. I can provide my fax number in a private email.
