I have problem in anlaysing N,O-Bis(trimethylsilyl)acetamide by gc. i am using HP-1(30m, 0.32mm, 0.25µ) and fid. whenever i am injecting 0.2µL with a split of 1:100 at injector temp varying from 120 to 250°C no injection is got reproduced. Fluka grade sample labelled for 95% purity gives two peaks with bad shapes. could any one can give better idea. Is FID Really do the job or else.

0.2 ul split 100:1 is very little sample, isn't it? I wouldn't expect very good reproducibility
