Does anyone use DMSO as matrix with headspace 7694 and a 6890 (FID)? We get some problems with our FID and cleaning our transfert line. Ideas?
Thanks

Are you using a packed column FID flame tip or a capillary flame tip?
I would use a 0.020" ID tip instead of the capillary flame tip for keeping your flame lit with large amounts of DMSO eluting.
Fused silica deactivated transfer lines should be the norm unless you are using very basic liquids for your headspace work.
Never use basic solutions to clean FS deactivated tubing. Be sure to keep your transfer line temperature elevated so your DMSO will elute.
