You could try a FFAP cap column on GC with FID.

Or a Prevail organic acids column from Alltech. Mobile phase 0.08% aqueous formic acid or phosphate buffer pH 2.5 with acetonitrile added if peaks are a bit slow to elute. Detection UV at 210nm (use a high grade water). And no I don't work for Alltech - I just find the Prevail column is the best thing ever when it comes to organic acids.
