We have had an introduction of sulfuric into the ECD detector. This the second time in five years of running. We had to send the detector in for repairs the first time this happened. I am hoping that someone has an alternate solution that may be performed in-house to save on expenses. Thank you for your time.

Solution is: don't inject acid into the column, injector or detector...how is acid getting into an "extract"?
