I am just getting to grips with using custom reports for the MSD chemstation, However I cannot get it to draw the baselines on the integrated ion chromatographs although it gives the peak areas.
This makes it difficult as we have to go to the saved results in chemstation to assess the quality of integration rather than having a quick look at the printout
Any help would be appreciated

thanks

Ciaran

I print extracted ion chromatotograms by means of macros and have no problem with integration and baseline. Which commands do you use?

We are just getting to grips with macros. we draw our baselines manually and generate a custom report for each sample individually, Could you give me an example of a marco that you use,

thanks

I may be missing something. If I understand you need to print integrated ion chromatograms by custom analysis. I use macros where the basic sequence of commands is as follows:
(example)
INITTHR 9
STARTPRINT
CHROMATOGR 9.65:10.15,367,369,351
INTEGRATE X
DRAW 1,X
WINPRINT 1,5,13,40,18
TABULATE RESULTS,"1"
FILEPRINT"1",5,33
STRPRINT "FIPRONIL",5,12
ENDPRINT
DEL"1",DONTASK

You can find explanation of these commands in the on-line help and general information in the manual.
I work with MS Chemstation C.03.00 and I find it awkward (maybe newer versions are improved)but I always had problems with quantitation before I started printing custom reports. The only disadvantage of my solution is that I spend time typing peak areas in Excel cells to calculate results. But it works quite fine.
