Hi guys,
I need a buffer a pH 7.4 which is MS friendly for a new assay I'm developing. Any suggestions will be welcome.
Thanks for your time.

There are indications in the literature that ammonium phosphate is reasonably MS compatible. We have also been partially successful with ammonium bicarbonate acidified to the desired pH with an MS compatible acid such as formic acid. However, you should check the pH after degassing and after some period of time sitting around. Colleagues warned me of slow changes in the pH, possibly due to evaporation of carbon dioxide.

I tried ammonium bicarbonate and it worked like a charm (well good enough for this stage of development).
Thanks a lot Uwe
