Is there anybody who already performed methoxypyrazine's analyses on GCMS systems?
I'm asked to quantify 2-ethyl, 2-isopropyl, 2- isobutyl, 2-sec-butyl-3-methoxypyrazines in wine using my GCMS system (HP-Innowax PEG 30m x 0.25mm x 0.25mcm).
The most probable extracting agent should be ethyl acetate after the addition of NaHCO3 (or H2PO4-/HPO4--) to rise pH and NaCl for its salting out effect (must use chlorinated solvents? bad for the ion source...)
I must use an internal standard (2-methoxypyrazine) since I have not any autosampler.
Splitless injection mode.
Until now no signals were detected (scan mode), even injecting pure standards in methanol or ethyl acetate.
Must I just change column? Which one? Does anybody know "strange" methoxypyrazine's behaviour at injector's level?
Thanks to all.
Have a nice time.
