someone knows if there is a rule for the mass range in old equipment ?generally.
my problem is that the signal of m/z stop in 500 in the method that I am transfering from packed to capillary column,and I am seeing another peak in 540 that leads me to a diferent compound .our HP 5890 can "see" heavier componds but we need to run a "standard" to calibrate the mass range before ,I don't know if older equipment had this option.
