Hello,

we have the following problem: A compound library contains an unknown impurity. The impurity has a m/z of 409. It has a maximum in the uv-spectra of 210 nm. No arene or other substructures in the uv-spectrum visible. Is there anyone, who had the same problem and knows for what m/z 409 stands for? Could it be a plastiziser or something else?

For any ideas thanks a lot

Markus

Check your blank. I have come across m/e 409 from the solvents Methanol/Acetonitrile
