Hi all,

I want to do headspace-GC/MS analysis of a solution containing NO, NO2 and N2O. I have a lot of experience in LC but I'm quite new in GC so I don't really know what column to use. I tried column like HP-1MS and HP-5MS from Agilent and they give poor retention of the gases. I saw from Agilent website that column like HP-PLOT/Molosieve are supposed to be good for gases, anyone with experience with these?

So to recap, I would like to know if anyone has used "good" columns for NO, N2O and NO2 analysis that are suitable for MS.

Thanks a lot,

JPL
