If you are using positive ionization, the TEA will probably cause severe ion suppression, although TEA is volatile. So in positive mode, no. In negative mode, I'm not sure, having never tried oxalic acid with LC/MS. From a volatility standpoint, it might be OK. According to Merck Index, it decomposes at 190 C to CO2, CO, formic acid, and water. Try at your own risk.
