How can I compare HPLC/MS sensitivity from Agilent and Bruker?
Agilent gives its sensitivity as 5 pg Reserpine in SIM mode, and Bruker gives it as 25 pg Reserpine in MS/MS mode.
I think is not possible to compare directely both parameters, is it correct?

thanks

Normally, MS/MS is more sensitive than SIM because much of the chemical noise is eliminated with MS/MS. The sensitivity gain will depend on your analyte and how dirty your sample is. I am surprised by those numbers, but maybe I don't understand the full story behind them.
