We are currently in the process of connecting an Agilent 1100 to a LCQ ion trap MS. I was wondering how important it would be to have a pulse dampener on this setup, I was under the impression that the MS would be sensitive to an LC pulse (i.e. would increase the baseline noise). If this is so could someone recommend a good manufacturer of pulse dampener to purchase from.

The 1100 has a large pulse dampener already. You do not really need more pulse dampening and most likley dont want the added system volume.
