I am doing quantitative analysis ( internal standard method) of amines by GCMS.I face a unique problem.I get good reproducibility for the first few injections and afterwards all the results show absurd values even if I inject same solution throughout the day.I use HP-1MS column and quantitation is in fullscan mode. The capacity of TMP is 50 l/s.
Give me some possible solutions.

If you're not quanting tertiary amines, you might want to try derivatizing them. Also, make sure your inlet liner is deactivated. If your results are absurdly high, you might be having a good deal of carryover from the inlet--inject an extracted blank after a high standard and see if it's carrying over.
