Hi. I am a high school student who has recently performed an experiment on the chromatography of baby food. Although I have done lots of research, it has not been as beneficial as I would have hoped. The terminology is difficult for me to understand and my text book does not supply enough for me to feel comfortable with the subject matter. PLEASE HELP! I give my science project presentation on the 17th.
Questions
1. Please give a solid background on chromatography. The main components, equations, etc.
2. What properties does a substance have if it goes very far up the chromatogram?
3. My science teacher told me not to cover up the top of my cup (what I put the filter paper in), was she right or should I do it over?
4. Please add any information you consider pertinent for my project.
THANKS A LOT, Kathryn
