A precocious nine-year-old is doing a science fair project on chromatography. She has used filter paper to separate the colors from black felt pen, but is also experimenting with other inks and solvents, such as rubbing alcohol, vinegar, lemon juice. We want to read up on the hows and whys of basic chromatography. Does anyone have any suggestions or leads for us? Thanks.
