I'm looking for the negative aspects of using the Gas Chromatography, in comparison with other separation techniques. I need it to complete a work at University. Thank you so much.

GC is not good for materials which are not volatile or cannot be made volatile; not good for thermally unstable materials.

The most common detector (flame-ionization) is destructive, cannot recover the sample for other analysis.
