I am working on a project to find the best solvent for seperating out the elements of purple, red, and green markers. I put the colors on the bottom of filters and dip them in a solvent. I am using coffee filters. Will it make a difference if I use the brown unbleached filters or bleached filters?

Not meaning to be a wiseguy, but maybe that could be part of the experiment also, the effect of the paper. Otherwise I don't think there will be much difference, except you might not be able to see some of the very faint spots on the colored paper.

Can gas chromatography be used if you are given a sample of potassium t-butoxide?
