Most of the CD-ROM encyclopedias have an article on the topid (e.g., Microsoft Encarta). You might also search for "chromatography" on Encyclopedia Britannica (http://www.britannica.com/)

If you are reading this, you have access to the Internet, and more information on chromatography than you could absorb in a lifetime. It will grow faster than you can study.
Use the search engines to find sites of interest to YOU. There are tutorials on all the major types of chromatography available on line, if that is what you need.
http://www.google.com/search?q=chromatography+tutorials
will get you 700+ references, for starters.
This site (LC/GC) has links to all the major manufacturer's of equipment and supplies so you can get an idea of what's involved.
If you are a student, your science teachers should be able to guide you to a local library, or other resources (perhaps a friend in the business) to help you get started.
It is a VERY BIG, IMPORTANT subject. I love it!!!! And I'm fortunate enough to make a living doing it.
Happy studying!
