Training: Web-Based Courses

Why web-based courses?
Our web-based training provides many of the advantages of traditional "face-to-face" instruction:

  • At a very reasonable price
  • With minimum disruption of work schedules
  • Without travel expenses
  • With individualized answers provided in a small group
  • Presented by world-class experts in liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry

LC Resources' web-based courses are not "webinars" or "infomercials" — and not "canned" presentations. Each session is conducted "live" by an instructor having 30-plus years of HPLC or MS experience with a small group (maximum of fifteen attendees).

Call (800) 379-5221 or e-mail us for details on upcoming courses.

We are currently offering:

Interpretation of Mass Spectra

This 6-week course is designed to develop the fundamental skills necessary to understand fragmentation on ions formed by electron (EI) ionization in GC/MS or by one of the soft ionization techniques employed in LC/MS.
It has the same content as the 3-day open-enrollment Interpretation of Mass Spectra course, but is offered in two sessions per week for a six week period (each session is about one and a half hours long). There is optional homework that can be FAXed in with marked papers being returned by mail. Sessions are recorded and will be available for up to four weeks after the course is completed. The course has been offered about twice a year since 2002.
This is a very convenient way to take this important course and gain knowledge in the interpretation of mass spectra. You can contact the instructor for a copy of the course syllabus.

LC-MS: F undamentals and Applications

This course covers all of the elements of modern liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LC/MS). The scientist who completes this course will be ready to go into the laboratory and begin running LC/MS experiments or will be prepared to make informed choices about buying an LC/MS instrument. Fundamentals of HPLC

This equivalent to a one-day course is taught in three 2.5 - hour sessions. The material is intended for beginning chromatographers, managers, or reveiewers. As with all all of our "Live on the Web" courses, it is conducted on-line by a "live" instructor.

HPLC Basics, Equipment, and Troubleshooting

This course is identical to the three-day open-enrollment course of the same name. It is aimed at working chromatographers with 0 - 5 years experience. The course is taught in 2.5 - hour sessions conducted on-line by a "live" instructor.  Call (800) 379-5221 or e-mail us for details on the next scheduled course.
