could anyone tell me some info on which media should be used for very hydrophobic short chained peptides. (up to 1500MW). I am currently using sephadex G-15 with either 0.1% TFA water or 5% acetic acid/h20. This isn't working for my hydrophobic compounds. This is for prep scale work either alone or desalting for HPLC prep work. Any ideas????? Thanks

Try a physiological solution like phosphor buffered saline (PBS), pH ~ 7.2. We have had very good results using PBS with proteins. Reverse phase type mobile phases caused adsorbance and other very strange problems. It would be nice to be informed of the results.
