We've just bought a Shimadzu LC 10AT binary system with fluorescence detection for amino acid analysis.
We're looking for a good autosampler to automate OPA amino acid derivatisation. Can anyone suggest a good make? We don't want the Shimadzu SIL 10A auto since it can't process samples batch-wise, i.e. it can't process a sample while another run is in progress. It has to wait till the entire chromatogram run is over to start the next sample.
Any suggestions ( other than Gilson) are most welcome.
Thanks and rgds.

Have a look at the HTS-PAL from CTC (www.ctc.ch); you may also find something from Spark-Holland.
Why didn't you buy from a major supplier (i.e. Agilent or Waters) a complete system that could do everything you need, including automation ?

Why not Gilson? What's your take on their autosamplers?
Thanks

Dear J.W.
No problems with Gilson as such. In fact I love their autos, especially the new 215 series.
It's just that their local agents in India offer lousy service and backup. I've already burnt my fingers with them.

Hello,
I am from Waters Europe and I just found this discussion group. Beside a proposal to get in touch with our office in Bangalore (I understood you are from India), I only wanted to try this site and see how it works.
Good luck !
Monika
