Can anyone help me understand how to interpret the y-axis of a Molecular Weight Distribution Plot? The label on the plot is dwt/d(logM)or dw/dlogM. I have read this is a differential weight fraction. If this is a weight fraction why doesn't the axis scale range between 0-1? The scale on several plots I have seen ranges between 0-2.

the area under the curve equals 100% of the sample. the y axis is some arbitrary scale. Your data system manual may explain, or consult a book on gpc. the origin of the plot is a bit more than I care to type.
