In a chiral hplc analysis of a racemic drug can one take it for granted that the enantiomeric peaks represent equal concentration? Suppose I inject 80 ng of a racemic therapeutic can I assume that each eantiomeric peak (area) represent 40 ng.?
Thanks for clarifying

If you can resolve the enantiomers (chiral separation), their relative peak areas will tell you if the mixture is racemic or not.
