Does anyone know how to prepare a cyanocobalamin sample in a multivitamin tablet with minerals and herbs? Method of analysis is HPLC. Thanks

Try extracting it in methanolic solution at 90 °C

Methanolic solution: 2.0 g Titriplex(Merck)+ 850 ml destilled water + 150 ml Methanol + 2.5 ml ortophosphoric acid; stirr (at least) for 7 hours.

Extraction: weigh the sample amount necessary for the assay in a volumetric frasc of 100 ml. Add 50 ml methanolic solution; heat for 10 minuts at 90 °C, shaking vigoursly every 2-3 minutes; allow to cool and fill until 100 ml with the methanolic solution.

Apply to your HPLC sistem
