I have seen a stainless steel "needle" with a luer-lock hub(?) and a stainless steel nut/ferrule combo on the end that one attaches to a syringe and can use to flush out a detector flow cell.
Does anyone know the proper name for this item, and/or a suggestion for a supplier?
Thanks,
Jennifer Hutcheson

I made them by swaging a nut and ferrule onto a needle, readily obtained from about any supplier of needles.

Upchurch has some very convenient "Luer Adapters", they are essentally a luer connector with a 10-32 threat and cone, fitting into any normal 1/16", etc., fitting. They also have all kinds of plastic ferrules whith which we connect all kinds of hypodermic needles (readily available in a clinic) to the HPLC (Bill explained it above). If I remember, SGE has steel connectors....
