In an article authored by James Merdink and
John Dolan titled "Scaling Gradient LC
Methods to LC-MS" in LCGC 18(10), 1034 -
1039 (2000), it was stated that to reduce dwell
time an aftermarket mixer was installed. Can
the authors give the specs and ordering
information for this mixer?

Thomas, we used a standard (analytical, not microbore) mixing tee (actually a Y-shaped fitting) made of PEEK. It is upchurch's U-466S with a stainless frit. These seem to have very low volume and excellent mixing characteristics when examined using a gradient step test.
