I have new Aminex HPX-87H column (300X7,8mm) and new Micro-Guard caboH cartridge from BIO RAD.
I use this tipe of column first time.
I work on HP1050 with RI-detector HPLC.
Which pressure can I expect at 25C and flow rate of 0,6 ml/min.I use 1mM sulfuric acid as mobile phase.

It's been a long time since I worked with these columns, but from memory, I would say somewhere in the area of 800-900 psi. The resins are somewhat compressible, and if a pressure threshold is exceeeded (1000 psi or so if memory serves), the bed will start to compress and pressure will continue to rise. As long as your pressure is constant at a given flow rate I wouldn't worry too much about it, but if the pressure starts to climb, cut back on the flow right away, or you risk damaging your column.

My apologies. I thought I had responded to this inquiry on May 5th. I concur with Tom's response but wish to clarify the conditions. Columns are tested at 35 °C, degassed and warmed 5 mM sulfuric acid, at 0.6 ml/min. Pressures are in the range stated by Tom. The maximum pressure should not exceed 1500 psi. Columns perform better at 65 °C. The guard column should also be heated.
