Does anyone has experience with the maintenance /cleaning of a ESA guardcell 5020 ? I am using it in a HPLC system to perform a postcolumn electrochemical oxidation. I have heard that applying a 1 volt potential for some minutes helps to clean it. Is it right?. I would like also to know about lifetime of the guardcell (electrodes)and whether is it advisable to keep it on overnight for better performance or it could be damage in the long run?
