Has anyone had any experience using the new Merck Chromolith columns featured at PittCon this year. They won the gold award for best new product, but I was curious as to how they are doing in the real world. I know they have a lot of advantages over conventional columns, but is there a downside to the rod technology.

YEH,
MERCK COLUMNS ARE GOOD ESPECIALLY CHROMLITH BUT ONE MAJOR DRAWBACK IS YOU HAVE TO DEVELOP NEW METHOD FOR THIS COLUMN. I MEAN YOU CANNOT USE METHOD ALREADY VALIDATED ON OTHER COLUMNS. COLUMN IS REALLY GOOD. NO DOUBT.

Hey guys, time out! Is there something I missed? I was not at the Pittcon and this new Chromolith column is new to me. Can you describe how good it is? Thanks.
