I have, quite unsuccesfully, tried to find
a manufacturer / company that provides syringe
ion exchange filters / membranes.
Alltech used to have the Novo-Clean IC disks and Bio-Rad had the Bio-Rex exchange membranes, but now non of them provide this kind of products.

Does anyone provide this (both cation and anion)
syringe ion exchange filters / membranes?

Quite a number of vendors including Dionex supply ion exchange cartridges with Luer fittings which can be attached to a syringe. These devices are in effect ion exchange filters although certainly not as efficient at filtration as a membrane filter would be. But this shortcoming can certainly be overcome by using such a cartridge in series with a standard syringe filter in cases where the inherent filtration properties of the cartridge are insufficient. However,I presume by your description that you are referring to syringe filters in standard syringe filter format containing membranes with ion exchange properties. If you are specifically interested in products of this sort, then you should contact either Varian or 3M. I believe the two companies you mention who used to supply ion exchange filters were originally OEM'ing these materials from 3M (as Varian is today). Recently, 3M made the decision to directly market these products under the trade name Empore. As part of this decision, they have ceased their OEM relationship with many of their original suppliers. So, your best bet if you're interested in this type of material is to contact 3M.

You can try a product called Oasis MCX from Waters corp. this is a ion exchange polymeric material.
