Does anyone out there know where I can get hold of the Holmium filters some engineers have for checking the accuracy of UV wavelength calibration in HPLC detectors. I've tried using Holmium solutions, but it is not very practical and quite expensive.

Some UV/VIS LC detectors "don't like" the holmium filters very much and tend to fail accuracy tests done with them while passing the potassium dichromate solutions tests easily.
