After I install Waters Millennium Chromatography
Manager 3.05.01, I could log in to it.
It said "millennium 32 base package option
has not been installed." I did not find
any information about this in help files.
Can you figure this out? Is this software
only compatible with winnt? I am using
win95 just because my HP-IB 82335 IEEE-488
card is only compatible with win95.
I appreciate it!

You need a 'Key Disk'. This is the disk that turns your software on. It is used to prevent the software package from being installed on multiple machines. Usually, people store this disk with the software CD.

Thanks a lot for your reply.
I re-looked the original software
CD. It has four folders in the
directory:
1.Debug
2.Example Data
3.Help
4.V2XXPrep
Others are files.
Which one do you think is the key
disk?
Thanks again.

The key disk is a seperate floppy disk, NOT on the CD.

Version 3.05.01 is compatable with WIN95, however, the software will run better under NT.

Thanks again with your info.
I don't think I have that floppy disk.
I only have a legal version software
with P/N.
What should I do?
Do you think that if I called waters,
they would give me a new key disk?
3.05.01 is pretty old one already.

Do you mean I should be able to use this
software under win95?

There is only one logical way: E-mail Waters
and take it from there.

If they no longer support it then -try-
a wanted add at: http://www.labx.com
in order to buy another software key.

Good luck.
