Hi.

I need a better software to process my HPLC files.
The software must also be able to caculate signal to noise etc.. The input files will be 2 columns from a Excel spreadsheet.

Kind Regards

Peter

Peter -

Most chromatography data systems (CDS) don't support direct import of ASCII raw data, because that would make it very easy to falsify data. However, most do support raw data interchange using the AIA (andi) format.

It would help to know how you're getting to a set of values in an Excel spreadsheet. Is that being exported from a CDS? Can you be more specific about the kind of data processing you want to do?

Can't you do your calculations in Excell, I think you don't need special software for your calculations, yust put the calculations into an Excell spreadsheet and calculate.
I don't think this procedure is realy GMP, but putting your values into an Excell sheet isn't GMP too.

Jandel Scientific has a package called peakfit. I used an earlier version and that would take in ASCII data and calculate all sorts of parameters by several different methods. I don't recall if it calculated signal to noise though.
Check it out at http://www.jandel.com/Peakfit/index.cfm

Peter,
I think MatLab bought a company that uses MatLab to give Excel powerful chromatographic analysis function. The MatLab site will have the information.
