I try to determinate different non-polar lipids with HPLC-ELSD using a polar column (diol or cyan) and heptane as mobile phase. How can i get a good separation of paraffin and different wax esters?

Wax esters will elute as a class by normal phase (no separation). You must use reversed phase to separate different wax esters. Try A = MeCN, B = Acetone (or methylene chloride) with a gradient from 20%B to 80%B.
